TVGuide.com Launches Online DVR Service

tvguideTVGuide.com is rolling out a new “DVR feature” where it will embed TV video content from various sources on the Internet, allow users to watch episodes of TV shows online and provide a Hulu-style ‘queue’ feature for subscribing to and watching shows in the future.

Similar to the recently launched Clicker.com, the site does not host any content, but provides access through partners – including Hulu.  For TV shows that aren’t available for free, TVGuide.com links to Amazon.com’s download-to-own service.

The Web site reaches 21 million unique users per month, according to the company.
