NASA Ames Scientist Working for Homeland Security Turns Your Iphone Into A Tricorder

Nasa recently announced that Jing Lee, a scientist at NASA's Ames Research Center, along with other researchers working in the Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate, developed a proof of concept of new technology that could mean compact, nanosensor-based chemical sensing capabilities to cell phones.
