Q3 Internet Advertising Revenues Released

Interactive Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP announced Internet Advertising Revenues for the third quarter yesterday. Q3 Internet advertising revenues were approximately $5.5 billion, 5.5% less than the same period last year but 1.7% more than Q2 2009. In the context of reduced overall ad spending, this means that digital media is capturing a larger piece of marketers’ total advertising spend.

BBC Adds iPlayer Channel To Nintendo Wii

BBC's homegrown iPlayer video player has been available on the Wii through its browser for quite a while (and is available on the PS3) is now going to be re-released as a stand-alone App, which will be a free download from the Wii online store. The channel will be available starting November 18 to any Wii in the UK with a broadband connection. According to research company Chart Track GfK there are almost six million Wii consoles in British homes.
